​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all members of our Mount Warren Park State School community. Our vision, '​Strive to Succeed', is based on a shared belief that everyone is a learner and has a unique contribution to make.  In our school, this creates a focus on unlocking the promise that lies in individuals to make a difference.

Promise is unlocked by:

  1. Creating safe places in which to learn
  2. Developing meaningful and respectful relationships
  3. Engaging each ​other in learning

At Mount Warren Park State School, we aim to engage students in learning that develops their knowledge, values and skills to know what they need to do to be successful. We pride ourselves on the inclusive and personalised approach that we provide to each of our students filled with a great sense of compassion and empathy.

We believe that education is a shared commitment between dedicated staff, motivated students and enthusiastic parents. I welcome and encourage all parents and caregivers to maintain constructive communication and relationships with our school staff in an authentic 3-way partnership between the teacher, school and home.

This year our school priorities are designed to further support our students to be successful. To achieve this, we are committed to enacting the following.

  1. The effective teaching of literacy with an explicit focus on decoding, encoding, vocabulary and language structures.

  2. Developing teacher knowledge and understanding of the approaches to teaching that are aligned to evidence-based practices.

  3. Further developing students' capability to be assessment literate learners who know what they need to do in order to be successful.

  4. Refining moderation processes to ensure clarity of curriculum demands to inform curriculum delivery.

​Through quality learning in a caring environment, we are personally committed to working with your child to achieve high standards in a learning culture that acknowledges shared responsibility and encourages continuous improvement.
