School sport
Sport is an important part of the complete educational experience for all Mount Warren Park State School students. Through sport, the school encourages all students to strive to achieve their personal best. Whether it's engaging in our Physical Education (PE) program or one of our other sporting programs run within the school.
Mt Warren Park State School is committed to providing students with a wide range of sporting opportunities and has a rich history of sporting achievements including multiple premiership winning teams and individuals who have represented their District and State.
Those committed to high achievement in sport have access to Regional, District,
State and National representation, and students may also engage in our
ASPIRE
Sporting Excellence program to support them in becoming high level athletes.
Each student is allocated to a ‘House Team’ and has a number of opportunities to compete in Inter-house sports carnivals throughout the year; including cross country, athletics and swimming. The Inter-House Carnivals for the ages 10-12 years serve as part of the selection process for students who represent Mt Warren at the Inter-school Carnivals.
How are teams organised?
Students are assigned a House Team when they enrol. All siblings in a family will be in the same House group.
